Maori learners: How can I enable students to learn as Maori?

Maori as school learners, global learners, self learners. These perspectives lead to success.

If students aren't achieving, what are we doing as teachers to respond to this?

Questions we've discussed in groups:

-What new knowledge do you have now?

-How has your thinking changed?

-What new opportunities/collaborations might be possible?

-What things are already working well?

-What change has already begun?

-What could the potential be?

A hunch I have is that students enjoy celebrating their culture in primary school and seem to shy away in secondary school.

Do others see this?

If so, what's going on for this to happen?

What factors are involved?
