Conceptualise, plan and implement an appropriate learning programme
i. articulate clearly the aims of their teaching, give sound professional reasons for adopting these aims, and implement them in their practice
ii. through their planning and teaching, demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of relevant content, disciplines and curriculum documents
At HPSS, we collaborate and co-teach across curriculum areas.
The planning starts with a school wide common theme or concept. From there we see how that links to our curriculum area and how it could look in that context.

The New Zealand Curriculum 2007 states "All learning should make use of the natural connections that exist between learning areas and link learning areas to the values and key competencies".
​
With our plan, we were able to attend a 'speed dating' session, where we present our initial ideas and establish connections.
