Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments
Practice
Being responsive to students' abilities and confidence, and adapting programs accordingly. Explicitly teaching safety in specialised technology spaces. Demonstrate processes and systems prior to practical sessions to encourage a safe and clean working environment. Explicitly communicate expectations at the beginning of the lesson and talk about consequences around misbehaviour. Following school processes around student behaviour. During COVID 19 lockdown, I supervised students, adhering to government guidelines around social distancing and cleaning.
Supporting student emotional and social wellbeing as a Year Adviser and as part of the Wellbeing team.
4.1 Support student participation
Model effective practice and support colleagues to implement inclusive strategies that engage and support all students.

To increase student engagement, build stronger connections within hub, and allow different students to shine, I established 'Hub Challenges'.
Every fortnight, the whole year would get together and take on a challenge focusing on a different 'Intelligence' from Howard Gardner's theory. The teachers were actively involved and, with an element of competition, prepared and supported their group during these activities.

A number of students requested that we revisit some of the most popular challenges during their last week of school.
