'Manage the learning setting to ensure access to learning for all and to maximise learners’ physical, social, cultural and emotional safety.'

Hub is a context in which we embrace others' skills, knowledge and experience. I like to encourage learners to share these qualities through collaboration or leadership (tuakana-teina).
Students can reflect on their hauora in this space and can develop personal, as well as academic excellence.
Over time, our mix of ages, interests and personalities form a whanau in which students can feel that they belong.
Here is our final week together as a hub in 2017.
My hublings chose a mug that I had made, and spent hub time decorating them. These will be souvenirs of our time together.

'Develop an environment where the diversity and uniqueness of all learners are accepted and valued.'

'Foster trust, respect and cooperation with and among learners so that they experience an environment in which it is safe to take risks'.
