Our hub goals and reward system

In hub we've been working on individual goals as part of an inquiry. I've also been thinking a lot recently about my hub and the social awareness and skills I would like to nurture in them.
Our co-constructed goals should help develop the key competency Relating to others:
Relating to others is about interacting effectively with a diverse range of people in a variety of contexts. This competency includes the ability to listen actively, recognise different points of view, negotiate, and share ideas. Students who relate well to others are open to new learning and able to take different roles in different situations. They are aware of how their words and actions affect others. They know when it is appropriate to compete and when it is appropriate to co-operate. By working effectively together, they can come up with new approaches, ideas, and ways of thinking. (NZC, 2016)
Along with striving to develop this key competency, these hub goals also give my hublings an incentive to work together, collaborate and contribute to a final reward, whilst supporting each other to grow good habits.
The overarching theme connects to my Spiral of Inquiry topic, and I feel that this activity not only gathers student voice about what they observe or experience in hub as part of the scanning and focusing phases, but also allows me to explore what motivates my learners.
Step 1: Recording our observations
My categories consisted of the following:
Our Aim- What a good hub looks like!
Rose- What do we do well?
Bud- What could we improve on?
Thorn- What should we cut down on?
I asked the students to get into groups of 3. The sheets looked like these:

Step 2: Building our hub culture
I asked the students to share with me their observations categorising them as positives or negatives. Our board looked like this:

I then asked the students to write down these actions/habits on the back of their paper and give each thing a value (-2 for a negative etc). This led to lots of debate between the hublings about what they thought was important or serious.
I would like to clarify or quantify the listed habits:
Cleaning: Throwing another person's rubbish away (+2 points)
Collaboration: Working with a person you've never worked with before (+2 points)
Wasting time: Using your phone or the internet for an unrelated topic (-2 points)
Step 3: Rewards and the points system

I found this on Pinterest and thought that it was a neat idea, that was visual and tangible.
Students now need to decide what their collective rewards will be (bowling, laser tag etc) and I will make a decision on where the points will be allocated based on student values. I will give them a chance to see the points system before I implement it, to make agreed final adjustments.
