How do I 'be'?

How do I 'be'?
This is the weird question that came out of my mouth in the staffroom at lunch today.
I had just finished my SPINs, during which I kept asking myself, does the vocabulary I used in my old school have the same impact or contain the same meaning as it does here? How do the students perceive my body language? What does 'warm and demanding' look like in connection to my demeanour?
I'm not talking about changing myself, but how do I 'be' myself here, in this context?
I know that in time, when I have built connections with students, this will happen organically. The advantage of consciously thinking about this now is that I can start on a clearer path and be more receptive in terms of student responses to myself and therefore be reflective on my approaches.
