We spend alot of time in the garden, growing fruit and vegetables, and hosting BBQs. Here in New Zealand there are an array of unique and interesting birds which sometimes pay us a visit and make our efforts of creating a welcoming outdoor area so much more worthwhile.

So I decided that a bird bath would be a nice addition to the garden.

I got the idea from Pinterest, which is a simple method of stacking terracotta pots.

I chose to tackle it my own way taking inspiration from Antonio Gaudi through mosaic and painting Spanish style tile patterns.

As the summer keeps teasing us with promising, then disappointing weather, Sammy and I have been bashing, cutting and sticking things in the car port, drinking beers and listening to swing/folk/rap music.

For this project, I refined my skills on the circular saw, jigsaw, drill and incorporated a bit of clay and mosaic.
